Life is short and the world’s wide,
It’s up to us whether in this life we want to seek or hide.
Make the everyday exciting and break the rule,
It’s too short to wake up in a bad mood, so I save mine for school.
I believe if life is this short then why do we waste our time learning letters, both informal and formal,
Ultimately it’s too small for us to be normal.
This poem isn’t to preach but to make you smile,
Although my wisdom actually runs deeper than the Nile.
My purpose is to make you smile while you still have teeth,
Because sometimes unfortunately life leaves us helpless but there’s always hope beneath.
Cherish your memories with your family till your doom,
Trust me you never know what you’ve held onto until you clean your room.
Let me give you an example of our priorities in this short life when we haven’t even discovered the first half,
When our phones fall we panic but when our friends fall we laugh.
Always remember that friends come and go like the waves of the ocean, though we had them by god’s grace,
But the real ones always stay, like an octopus on your face.
In the end, people will always judge you anyway so remember not to live your life impressing others and be your best self,
